We had a belated Valentine's day party tonight for the students ...and a great time was had by all! Lisa made a "big mess of" cupcakes and we had tons of bread, cheese, ham and peanut butter for sandwiches. Not elaborate, but very customary (except for the peanut butter ...a purely American invention that they always gulp down). We spent a few hours talking and laughing. We introduced them to BINGO and it was a hit ...the winner's prize was having to dress up in a Hawaiian grass skirt with coconut shell bra and a silly hat and parade around in front of everyone. That was a hoot! We all got a little silly ...but I digress as usual.
We had a good discussion about dating and some of the "red flags" in a relationship or a person and they had a lot of questions that they answered for each other. It is great to open up our humble apartment and fill it with these teenagers ...I think there were 16 tonight. We love these guys and girls and consider ourselves priveleged to be here and share our lives with them.
