SAY YES TO "SAY YES TO THE DRESS"

Our girls love to watch "Say Yes To The Dress" on TV, especially the one in Atlanta.... they were watching it last night and I knew we were planning on going to Atlanta today, so I thought "maybe we can find it and stop by...." I look them up on-line and they are just right there in Sandy Springs so we go by and go in. I tell the receptionist they are fans, and they get a tour, get to meet one of their favorites (Robin) and get her autograph and photos! They said it was "right up there with Taylor Swift!" Who knew! So glad we said YES to SYTTD!

HEAD TO THE MOUNTAINS

A few weekends ago, we'd planned a family trip up to some mountain areas nearby. Sofie was sick, so she stayed home with Lisa and I took the other girls up there. It was beautiful - we were all enjoying the majesty of it all!

NEVER GROW UP

Sofie and I were out running errands this morning and she wanted to listen to Taylor Swift ....I know, she's 4! Anyway, when this song came on we were sitting in traffic and I really listened, and then I cried there in the van. I guess because we have these girls and they are all growing up and most days I really don't want them to do it. Take a listen and look at those lyrics.....

PHOTO SHOOT!

Recently, a friend-of-a-friend took some photos of the girls to use in her advertising for her new photography studio - since I took them to their first-ever "official photo shoot," I got in on the action.

SNAPSHOTS OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT

This was our 2nd Christmas in South Carolina in many a year, and we were slightly more prepared for it this go round. One of our traditions is to eat a meal at McDonald's on Christmas Eve.... I'm sure this may sound a little strange considering all of the options that are around, but it dates back to Romania while Lisa was preganant with Sofie. We were finishing opening our gifts on Christmas Eve in Bucharest and Lisa was craving some protein.... not many choices but McD's, so we drove down to a local one and ate a big meal.... since then we've continued to do it (not quite the same here, but still...). We also attended a Candlelight Service at a nearby church before opening our gifts.
