DRUNKEN MEN ON RAINY NIGHTS

I just walked in from being out in the city tonight and there was a man asleep (passed out?) in the outside covered stoop of our apartment building's front door (a quick note for all: our apartment building door is locked 24 hours and has an electronic code to enter with ...everything is OK). It is raining, so drunken men find covered places to spend the night ...just never seen it here before, but it was after 10:30 PM and I'm not usually down there (we're on the 5th floor). It's sad to wonder "where do you make a few wrong turns in life to be someone who sleeps on doorsteps?" We see so many sad things here..... on a brighter note, I went to the POLI soccer game tonight. Poli is THE team here ...the city's pride. I went with our frined Cornel. They lost to their arch-rival from Bucharest. This is Europe, you know, and soccer is a big deal here. It was good, rained a lot, but good.
