No Romanian outing is complete without a swim in a "thermal, murky, sulphur, mineral-ly" pool. More technical, a "bazin." These waters are considered extremely therapeutic in Europe and most Europeans all swear by them. Chlorine.... what is that, they say! This pool, in the village of Sofronea, is fed by a natural mineral spring over 800 meters underground. As usual, me and the girls (Emma is here) dived in and Lisa (the nurse/mother) stood by with her fingers crossed. I tend to "embrace the culture" and never hesitiate to dive in!
