This afternoon I took the girls to see the Big Ron at a nearby McD's. They were delighted! He did a show outside on the terrace and it was a success. If nothing else, McDonald's is the King of Consistency here in the Land of Inconsistency. It is ALWAYS the same, no matter. There are, at last count, 22 outlets in this city alone and everyone is the same in the food and staff. Here, it's a great job with potential. Restaurants are clean and neat and well-ran. It isn't that way back home, is it??We of course ate there.... I had the new "Big Tasty" ...might be everywhere, I don;t know. They often try out specialty things here. It reminded me of an old Hardee's hamburger ....delicious. And McD's is my least favorite place to go!
Tomorrow is MAY 1 or MAY DAY ...a HUGE holiday in Europe and a big one left over from the "old communist days." Everything closes and school is out. We're having Emma's 6th birthday party then, even though the real day is the 4th. It has a princess theme and she is very excited!! I'm sure we'll tell you all about it.
