Yesterday was Mikie's birthday! We celebrated by making a trip to the new Water Park for a few hours. It was a cool way to spend a hot afternoon. Afterwards, we stopped by "Dristor Shoarma" on the way home. A "shoarma" is a rolled pita sandwich, probably Lebanese or from that area, filled with chicken, lamb, french fries and various condiments like cabbage, pickles, onions and sauces. They are wonderful and "Dristor" (named after the neighborhood) is the best in town and only a few blocks away. We got yhem "la pachet" (to go) and came home to cool drinks, shoarma and birthday cake. I gave Mikie the choice of shaoarma or mici (grilled, spicy Romanian sausage) and she made her choice. She's a shoarma girl.
