BUT IT IS VERY UNUSUAL.... I'll explain and it'll all make sense .......
The girls went to a spend-the-night birthday party (to end all birthday parties) yesterday after school because today was a "teacher in service day".... that would be me). This morning, a friend collected them and took them to her house with her kids after the party. I went to retrieve them tonight. They are EXHAUSTED and fell asleep IMMEDIATELY and I am LOVING that.
Now, here's the "always something in Bucharest" part ....I left our apartment at 6:15 PM to go get them. This family lives on the northern suburban edge of the city and we live just a tad south of the "downtown" area. In a normal world, the trip would be 35 minutes. OK... left at 6:15, stayed there maybe 10 minutes to ties shoes, go to the bathroom and get in the van. We finally got home (after yet another "Great Romanian Parking Space Hunt")at 9:05 PM. Do the math. The traffic is always crazy.
A comparison.... at 5AM it takes about 35 minutes to get to the airport. During the day, easy it can take 2 hours or more.
B-T-W.... got word that Lisa and Sofia are safely in South Carolina (it's 2:30 in the afternoon there and they better not be at SKIN'S ...you get it if you live there OR if you're Tony Barbusca). God took great care of them.
