WHERE DOES THE TIME GO?
It was just a day ago, or so it seems, that I'd entered the last post. Now, here I am trying to fill you in. I've spent the better part of this week in high schools or at the university campus. This is a busy time to meet students, talk to new classes, meet with school administrators and hand out information. Right now, Lisa has slipped out for a "lunch date" with our friend Laura, a chance to get out of the apartment. Knowing these two ladies, I'm sure they'll eat at Lisa's favorite chinese place downtown ...this is a treat for both of them. I'm heading out in a few minutes to take the girls out the a nearby park and then to the first afternoon of gymnastics for this year. Last night, both of them had their first violin lesson! We've replace ballet with this. Some friend let us borrow 2 violins! Emma is a little too little for it all, but Mikie is at the right age. Fortunately, they get to be involved in lots of interesting things here! Our days are always different and we end up in places we never expect ...it reminds me of a quote from a book I read by Hudson Taylor, "It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the Lord wherever He places me."
