I had a busy day ...my co-worker and I met with the school district today about using some meeting spaces in high schools ...not so much luck as we'd hoped. However, not a total loss. Later we met the director of a local meeting hall and he gave us a better price than the "going rate." Our biggest struggle is to find suitable meeting places for small and large groups of students. Here, where things take more time, we spent 6 hours doing these 2 things ...a lot of walking the city because driving is a BEAST!
We've been doing a lot of "greeting old friends" this week also. Lisa and I met Laura yesterday at a terasa (outdoor cafe) in Piata Unirii ...a beautiful and ancient open plaza. We've talked to lots of people on the phone. Maybe on Sunday night we'll head down to "centru" (the main downtown plaza) for inghetata (ice cream) with the Popa's ...some great friends here who we usually join for this Sunday night ritual.
Bedding everyone down again ...somn usor!
