CHURCH, LUNCH, RUN, DINNER....

On every other Sunday, we have house church ...or "biserica acasa," at the home of one of our pastors here. There are around 40 + people usually, from several nationalities. Most of us are Romanian, American, Brtitish or Indian. Our high school buddy Cosmin went with us today for the first time. We've started studying in the book of Acts. If you know anything about Vox (our church) you know we'll be there for a while.

After church, the girls went to a friend's house to play so Lisa and I ate a real meal in a resturant! There is a new Greek place in the mall (...where else) and it was authentic and portions so big we had to bring half of it "la pachet" (to go). NICE!

After lunch, Lisa went to METRO (...a huge German SAM's type place that covers most of Europe) with Dorina, a nurse/friend. I went for a 30 minute run through our neighborhood, zona Dacia, with the sun peeking out from the clouds. In my shorts and long-sleeved T-shirt, you can be sure I was a spectacle. No matter what, people here dress according to the calendar. If it is December, you wear warm clothes even if it is hot. It is unacceptable to dress according to the climate.

Cornel and Amalia, along with their young son, are coming over soon for dinner. They are some of our oldest friends here ...helped us find our apartment and 1,000 other things we needed to know to live here. It is always nice to see them. Gotta run.....
